Insurance isn’t like buying shoes, the prices don’t vary by small amounts. You may find one company offering a policy at $2,000 a year while another company offers the same coverage at $800. This is why it’s very important to shop around for auto insurance.
2. Keep your existing policy in force. Do not cancel your policy a few days before you get another. While quoting, if the insurance company finds a lapse in prior coverage, your rate will be much higher compared to if your prior insurance is in force.
3. Shop well before your policy expiration date. Responsible people are usually responsible drivers.
