Finding a cheap insurance rate in North Carolina can be tough. If you have an older car you may just want to go with liability only. Liability limits required by the state of North Carolina car 30/60/25. 30 and 60 represents bodily injury coverage and 25 represents $25,000 worth of property damage coverage. Liability coverage will only pay for the other guys injuries or property damage. If you don’t need comprehensive and collision going with liability only will save you some money. You may want to consider lifting your liability limits up some just to make sure you are financially protected. There are many cars out there worth over $25,000. Injuries can also exceed $30,000 quickly in the event you are in a serious auto collision.
If you do want comprehensive and collision you may want to raise your deductible up some to get a cheaper rate. Just make sure you know the deductible is the amount you must pay before the insurer will pay on any claims you make.
